Registration is free. Additional registrations received from any such participant or email address thereafter will be void. Participants’ personally identifiable information will only be used in accordance with the National Football League Privacy Policy, as posted on http://nfl.com/help/privacy.
b) Make Your Draft Picks: The object is to select, in order from first pick to last pick, the thirty-two (32) (out of sixty-four (64)) pre-identified prospective NFL players (as determined by Sponsor) who will be picked in first round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
To make your selections, follow the instructions provided on the Fantasy Game page to fill and submit your Draft Card with the thirty-two (32) prospects in order of first pick to last pick and also place your guess, in the space indicated, as to how long (in hours and minutes) the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft will take from start to finish, with the start being the naming of the first selection and the finish being the naming of the last selection. The length of the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft will be announced by a representative of the Sponsor at the Draft.
c) Draft Pick Deadline: The deadline for choosing or modifying your round 1 draft picks and selecting the length (in hours and minutes) of the first round is 3:00:00 pm ET on 4/25/09.
Your last selection(s) or modification(s) that are received by 3:00:00 pm ET on 4/25/09 will be considered your entry and used to tabulate your Fantasy Points. All selections must be accepted and acknowledged by the computer servers by the deadline above (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to be considered valid, timely, and eligible.
4. Scoring System:
Draft picks for the purposes of this Promotion will be determined based on the actual picks made by the teams during the first round of the Draft. Any trades made by a team after the completion of each pick in the first round of the Draft will not count. For example if Team A uses their fourteenth pick to select John Doe but then they trade him to Team B who pick nineteenth in the draft, Fantasy Points will be tabulated based on John Doe being the fourteenth (not nineteenth) pick.
You will earn Fantasy Points based on the accuracy of the selections you made on your Draft Card in comparison to the actual results of round 1 of the Draft as follows:
|
Point Level |
Definition |
Fantasy Points Earned |
|
Correct Pick |
100 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft in the same number order as your selection. Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked first on your Draft Card and if during the 2009 NFL Draft he was actually picked first, then you will receive 100 Fantasy Points. |
100 Fantasy Points |
|
One Away |
50 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft either 1 position before or after your selection. Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked second on your Draft Card and if during the 2009 NFL Draft he was actually picked either first or third, then you will receive 50 Fantasy Points. |
50 Fantasy Points |
|
Two Away |
20 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft either 2 positions before or after your selection. Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked third on your Draft Card and if during the 2009 NFL Draft he was actually picked either first or fifth, then you will receive 20 Fantasy Points. |
20 Fantasy Points |
|
Three Plus (but still selected in first round) |
10 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft either 3 or more positions before or after your selection. Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked tenth on your Draft Card and if during the 2009 NFL Draft he was actually picked seventh (or earlier) or between thirteenth and thirty-second, then you will receive 10 Fantasy Points. |
10 Fantasy Points |
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to earn Bonus Fantasy Points, which are based on the quantity of Correct Picks (as defined above) made on your Draft Card as follows:
|
Point Level |
Bonus Fantasy Points Earned |
|
5 to 9 Correct Picks |
100 Bonus Fantasy Points |
|
10 to 14 Correct Picks |
200 Bonus Fantasy Points |
|
15 to 19 Correct Picks |
300 Bonus Fantasy Points |
|
20 to 24 Correct Picks |
400 Bonus Fantasy Points |
|
25 to 29 Correct Picks |
500 Bonus Fantasy Points |
|
30 or 32 Correct Picks |
600 Bonus Fantasy Points |
Scoring Example: if a participant picks, in exact order, the thirty-two (32) first round Draft picks, he/she will accrue 3,200 Fantasy Points + 600 Bonus Fantasy Points for a total of 3,800 Fantasy Points (maximum number of Fantasy Points available). If a prospective NFL player is picked by a team in the first round of the Draft but was not included in the list of sixty-four (64) pre-identified prospective NFL players provided during the Promotion Period, no Fantasy Points will be earned for that pick. If a participant does not fill in all thirty-two (32) slots in his/her Draft Card by the completion of the Promotion Period, no Fantasy Points will be earned for the pick(s) which was left blank.
5. Winner Selection:
Grand Prize: Based on the actual Draft Picks made by each team during the first round (not inclusive of post pick negotiations/trades), the participant who accumulates the highest amount of Fantasy and Bonus Fantasy Points combined (hereafter “Total Fantasy Points”) at the conclusion of the first round in the 2009 NFL Draft, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.
First Prize: Based on the actual Draft Picks made by each team during the first round (not inclusive of post pick negotiations/trades), the participant who accumulates the second highest amount of Total Fantasy Points at the conclusion of the first round in the 2009 NFL Draft, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed potential First Prize winner.
Second Prizes: Based on the actual Draft Picks made by each team during the first round (not inclusive of post pick negotiations/trades), the four (4) participants who accumulate the third through the sixth highest amount of Total Fantasy Points at the conclusion of the first round in the 2009 NFL Draft, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed potential Second Prize winners.
Potential winners will be determined on or about 4/28/09. The tabulation of Fantasy Points and identification of potential winners will be conducted by Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding on these and all other matters relating to the Promotion. In the event of a tie for any prize level, the tied participant who most closely predicted the length of time it took to complete the first round will be determined the potential winner for the applicable prize. If a tie still exists for any prize level, the potential winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted by Project Support Team, Inc., an independent judging organization, from among all remaining tied participants for the applicable prize. In the event that the 2009 NFL Draft is canceled, suspended (and not resumed) or preempted (and not resumed) for any reason during the Promotion Period, prizes will not be awarded. By participating, participants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor, which will be final and binding in all respects. Limit one (1) prize per participant and per household.
6. Winner Notification:
The potential winners will be contacted on or about 4/30/09. Each potential winner will be contacted at the e-mail address and/or phone number provided on the registration form.
Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release within seven (7) days of date of issuance of notification. Non-compliance with the foregoing, with these Official Rules, the inability to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period, potential winner’s failure to respond within seven (7) days from initial contact or return of prize or prize notification as non-deliverable may result in disqualification and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarding of the applicable prize to the next runner-up. Grand Prize winner’s guests will be required to execute a Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release prior to the issuance of travel documents. Guests must be of legal age of majority in their state of residence (and at least 18) unless the guest is a child or legal ward of the Grand Prize winner.
